Let's Get Connected!

Written by Eli Gassert | Feb 1, 2022
Let's be real: things are more fun with a friend. That's why development in January was focused on popping the lonely bubble of Truelytics by inviting in friends, through integrations.

Third-Party Integrations

We selected Apideck as our vendor of choice to help bring integrations to Truelytics. The driving force behind this decision was simple: most bang for our buck. Apideck is developing what they call Unified APIs to connect to common service types -- think CRMs, calendars, accounting software, email marketing platforms, cloud storage, etc -- in a common way. In non-geeky terms, this means that we can connect to SalesForce, Hubspot CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, and many others, all through the same, unified connection. We no longer have to build independent implementations for this system or that system because one calls it First Name and the other calls it Given Name. Apideck takes care of all that for us.

Why does that matter? Faster time to market for new integrations! We create the workflow once and all integrations of the same type benefit.

And if that's all they did, that'd be great! But they also have this fantastic tool called Vault, which is a secure -- for lack of a better term --vault that stores all of your third-party credentials and connections. It takes care of maintaining connectivity to those systems, so that when you're ready to launch an integration, it all "just works" for you.

First Integration Use Cases

So where can you take these new integrations for a spin? Our first use cases center around TruePerformance and being able to sync data to CRMs.

With these workflows, our users are able to sync to Companies (Accounts) and Contacts. And what can they sync? Literally every field our intake collections, and every field our output produces!

And what do you do with these fields? You can map them to your CRM fields, including any custom CRM fields you created. We even support field templating for more advanced scenarios (think Description text inputs in your CRM where you might want to put a few key data points instead of just a single field).

Conclusion

This is just the start. We have big plans for our new integrations platform!
