Key Trends for Financial Advisor Transitions

Written by Mike Langford | Feb 24, 2021

"Father Time is undefeated" they say in sports when talking about an aging player not named Tom Brady or LeBron James. Put simply, it means that eventually everyone's career ends and they transition to something else.

Father Time also calls on RIAs and independent financial advisors as well. Usually at a much older age than professional athletes but still... he has your phone number... the call will come.  In this episode of The Modern Financial Advisor Podcast, Jeremi Karnell, CEO of Truelytics, and Scott Wetzel, CEO of SkyView Partners share their insights and predictions for the coming wave of mergers & acquisitions, advisor succession, and the need for emergency continuity preparedness. Father Time... we're ready for your call.

One last note, in the preview video below I share a quick story of my family's recent experience with a natural disaster that completely took us out of commission for 8 days. It's a fantastic reminder that every RIA and individual advisor should be prepared for continuity during a disaster.

As I mentioned in the preview video above, you can watch the entire episode of the podcast on YouTube as well. The video is embedded below for your convenience. Make sure you subscribe to the Truelytics YouTube channel!
