Why Financial Advisors Should Teach Financial Literacy

Mike Langford
Aug 6, 2021

When Andrew Crowell's team first reached out to me to explore having him come on the Modern Financial Advisor Podcast to discuss why financial advisors should be actively teaching financial literacy in their communities, I must admit I wasn't super excited by the concept.  I replied, "I am not quite sure our audience will be interested... but, why don't we have a quick call anyway?"

I'm glad I did! As the Vice-Chairman of Wealth Management at D.A. Davidson, Andrew discovered years ago that not only is advancing financial literacy a noble thing to do, it is also a great way to add value to an advisor's relationship with their wealthy clients.

Company Update: As I mentioned in the video above, Ian Karnell recently published a powerful video for RIAs and independent financial advisors who are actively looking to grow their business via acquisitions. The video includes case studies that demonstrate how firms are leveraging Truelytics to grow.
